Dr. Kevin McClendon
Born for such a time as this and having come from a generation of Preachers, Teachers, Apostles, and Prophets, Kevin McClendon is a submitted vessel, called to deliver the unadulterated word of God with power and transparency. He was reared and groomed in the local church as a child. His life shifted after having an encounter with the power and presence of God. This encounter broke spiritual strongholds in his life. A refreshing, empowering, supernatural life in Christ was ushered in from that point of conversion. As a result, Kevin humbly received a mantle to speak the oracles of God confirmed through the formal commissioning and the laying on of hands by his local leadership. Therefore, Kevin’s earnest desire is to minister to men and woman of all ages, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds. His hope is for them to experience the manifestation and transformation of their lives through the power of the Gospel.
Dr. McClendon graduated from High School in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. McClendon attended Troy State University and Bryant and Stratton College. He graduated with honors, receiving a Doctorate Degree in Church Administration from James Dussault University Overcoming College of Religion. Dr. McClendon is now pursuing additional opportunities to further his education. Additionally, Dr. McClendon has held various positions within the local church. At Lion of Judah Worship Center in West Columbia, SC, Dr. McClendon was ordained an Elder and served as associate minister. The Association of Evangelical Gospel Assemblies in Monroe, LA subsequently ordained and affirmed Dr. McClendon as a minister of the Gospel. Currently, Dr. McClendon serves as the Pastor of Souls Harbor Full Gospel Church in West Columbia, SC. Dr. McClendon is also the President and CEO of KM Ministries (Kevin McClendon Ministries) located in Lexington, SC. KM Ministries is an evangelistic ministry with a 501c3 nonprofit charter.
Dr. McClendon served a total of 26 years in the United States Army both as an Active and Reserve duty soldier. His work ethic enabled him to rank as one of the top enlisted soldiers in his unit. As his primary occupation, Dr. McClendon completed 36 years of federal service to include 20 years of experience in executive level management before his recent retirement. Dr. McClendon is well respected in his community and serves as a pillar of support for those living with disabilities. Dr. McClendon operates Sheltering Arms in West Columbia, SC. Sheltering Arms provides a bi-weekly Activity Night for adults living with disabilities.
Dr. McClendon is married to his lovely wife, Aletta McClendon of Columbia, SC. He is known as an adamant family man. Simplicity and sophistication capture his essence. He strives to be an example of a man yielded to God in every area of his life. He has a heart for people and is a committed prayer warrior. Dr. McClendon continues to pursue and produce excellence in all his ministry endeavors. Those who know him best characterize Dr. McClendon as a man obedient to God’s commands as he continues to move under the inspiration and anointing of the Holy Spirit. His motto is “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” Dr. McClendon is empowered by the One Who Empowers and has aggressively answered the call enthusiastically by saying, “Here am I Lord, send me.”
